Realme Narzo 60 Pro Review: Design Meets Everyday Performance

The Realme Narzo 60 Pro is a budget smartphone that punches above its weight, blending a premium-feeling design with capable hardware. Launched in mid-2023, it targets users who want a stylish, well-rounded phone without stretching their budget. The headline features include a vegan leather back with a 61-degree curved body, a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 100MP OIS ProLight camera, a Dimensity 7050 5G chipset, and a 5000mAh battery with 67W SuperVOOC charging.

What makes the Narzo 60 Pro interesting is how it balances aesthetics and substance. It looks and feels more expensive than it is, and the spec sheet is competitive for the segment. This review breaks down whether the real-world experience lives up to the promise.

Key Features

The Narzo 60 Pro's standout features are its design, display, and camera. The 6.7-inch AMOLED panel runs at 120Hz with HDR10+ support and reaches 950 nits peak brightness. The 100MP OIS ProLight camera with an f/1.75 aperture handles photography. The Dimensity 7050 5G chipset powers the device, paired with up to 1TB of storage. The 5000mAh battery supports 67W fast charging. Dolby Atmos dual speakers round out the multimedia package.

Design and Build Quality

Vegan Leather and Curved Body

The Narzo 60 Pro's 61-degree curved body is one of the most visually striking features in its price range. The back panel uses a vegan-patterned surface that is soft to the touch, stain-resistant, and durable. The camera module features a planet-like circular design housing two primary cameras and a flash. Two color options are available: Mars Orange with a leather-like finish, and Cosmic Black with a starry pattern that shimmers under sunlight. The "Designed by Realme" logo in pixelated font adds a modern touch.

Build and Ergonomics

The phone weighs 185 grams and measures 8.7mm thick, striking a balance between substance and comfort. Double-reinforced glass protects the display. The Type-C port sits at the bottom, with power and volume rockers on the left. The overall build feels solid and well-finished, with a premium feel that belies its budget positioning. There is no official IP rating for water resistance, which is a notable omission.

Display

The 6.7-inch AMOLED display is a visual treat. The curved panel enhances movie and video viewing, while minimal bezels with a 2.33mm ultra-narrow chin maximize screen real estate. The 2412x1080 resolution delivers 394 pixels per inch, producing sharp, detailed visuals. The 20,000 levels of brightness adjust smoothly for comfortable viewing in any lighting. A 100% P3 color gamut ensures rich, accurate colors, and 2160Hz PWM dimming reduces eye strain. The 120Hz refresh rate and 950 nits peak brightness make outdoor viewing comfortable. Overall, this is one of the best displays in its segment.

Camera Performance

Rear Camera

The 100MP OIS ProLight camera with an f/1.75 aperture and 26mm focal length offers 2x zoom capability. Outdoor shots benefit from accurate dynamic range, though colors can appear slightly shadowed and faded. The 2MP secondary camera assists with depth. Video recording supports 4K. The camera app is straightforward and includes standard shooting modes. While not class-leading, the camera is capable and versatile for everyday photography.

Front Camera

The 16MP front camera records 1080p video and handles selfies adequately. It is consistent with expectations for the price.

Performance

The Dimensity 7050 5G chipset delivers reliable everyday performance. Apps launch quickly, multitasking is smooth, and 5G connectivity is solid. The phone handles casual gaming well, though demanding titles may require lowered settings. RAM and storage configurations vary, with up to 1TB of storage available on higher tiers, which is exceptional for this segment. The absence of a microSD slot means you should choose capacity at purchase.

Software

The Narzo 60 Pro runs realme UI based on Android, offering a feature-rich and customizable interface. Animations are smooth, and useful utilities are included. Some pre-installed apps may need cleanup, but the overall software experience is polished.

Battery Life

The 5000mAh battery provides all-day endurance for most users. The 67W SuperVOOC charging is fast enough to minimize downtime. Combined with the efficient Dimensity chipset and dynamic display refresh, the Narzo 60 Pro is a reliable companion for long days.

Verdict

The Realme Narzo 60 Pro stands out in the budget segment with its premium design, excellent display, and capable camera. The lack of an IP rating and microSD expansion are drawbacks, but the overall package offers genuine value. If you want a stylish, well-rounded budget phone with great battery life, the Narzo 60 Pro is easy to recommend.
